Description : Position Description: The ideal candidate will be excited about using the latest Java (1.
6, Agile, spring 3.
0, Hibernate 3.
0, Oracle Coherence, Datasynapse etc.
) to solve challenging problems, and will be keen to develop a deep knowledge of the products traded by the Fixed Income business.
Existing knowledge of fixed income analytics would be a bonus but is not a pre-requisite, as previous hires have come from start-ups, gaming and telecos.
Excellent communication skills are required since the role involve considerable interaction with the research analysts as well as with other technology groups, trading, and other business units.
The development approach uses an AGILE methodology and an ability to work well under pressure with good attention to detail is crucial.

Job Requirements
- (must have no flexibility): 1.
Tier One Education with Strong A’Levels (or international equivalent).
Ideally with A in Maths.
Core Java/J2SE (multi-threading/concurrency, Generics, Serialisation, Garbage collection).

Messaging (Tibco RV, MQ Series etc.
) Nice to have: 1.
Exposure to Functional programming (Erlang, Haskell, F# etc.
) 2.
Adobe Flex/Silverlight 3.
In memory databases (Gemfire, Coherence, Giggaspaces etc.
