Description : Java Developer, Server Side, Front office, Multithread, Distributed systems, Investment Banking, Quant, Spring, Enterprise, London An experienced Java Developer is currently required for an exciting opportunity at a top tier Investment Bank in the City of London.
The Java Developer will be joining the Automated Market Making Team, which runs on a relatively new Java / Linux backend with a Java Swing GUI.
This is a highly business critical area for the bank and the Java developer will be working very closely with key traders and the Quant team on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will be involved with Quant model integration to integrate new pricing, risk and market data analytics.
You will be speaking with traders and quants to understand, code, structure, implement, test and deliver new requirements to the front office as well as having involvement with the GUI application development.
The successful Java Developer would be expected to have excellent core Java coding skills and software engineering practices, as well as distributed application development, and experience of industry standard frameworks.
Solid Java development experience in a banking environment is a must have.
Furthermore an understanding of new core java library features (i.
e.
V6 or V7), knowledge of equity derivatives pricing and listed derivatives markets, would be a plus.
The Ideal candidate would be degree educated from a highly reputable institution in a computing or mathematical discipline.
